Chris founded iDEAL Energies to bring to market innovative solutions for helping companies execute on renewable energy opportunities, in particular solar energy. He has steered iDEAL to become a fully integrated company with the structure necessary to design, install, finance and operate turnkey commercial solar systems, including leasing, electrical, financing and construction.

Before launching iDEAL, Chris founded two companies – Psihos & Associates (P&A) in 1990 and Special Waste Disposal, Inc. (SWDI) in 1996. P&A’s staff of engineers and attorneys provided industrial and health care clients with environmental permitting, compliance, remediation, engineering and project management services. SWDI provided industrial clients a turnkey, single-source solution for managing regulated and non-regulated wastes with availability to all disposals.

Chris has also owned and operated electrical and mechanical contracting companies. P&A and SWDI were purchased by a NASDAQ company, and the tools and programs are now used across the country as model programs for managing all healthcare wastes in compliance with federal and state laws. Chris earned a BS in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also earned a Juris Doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Rich Headshot

Rich has been with iDEAL Energies since inception. Thanks to his wide-ranging background in business and real estate – and sound business acumen – Rich has helped iDEAL quickly become a leading commercial solar installer in the state of Minnesota.

He has been involved in the real estate business for more than 25 years, including commercial mortgage banking in Chicago, commercial real estate and land appraisal in Portland, and commercial sales and leasing in Minneapolis. Leveraging his strong real estate fundamentals, Rich created a commercial and residential land development company focused primarily on Minnesota opportunities but with capabilities that extended to Colorado, Utah and Montana. Rich also created a real estate group that purchased properties from individuals, mortgages from financial institutions and liens from creditors. His company then renovated and resold these properties.

Rich earned a BA degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) in real estate and marketing. He also earned a master degree at UW in real estate appraisal and investment analysis.
